Garboldisham Cricket Club has introduced a new scheme this season that recognises hard work throughout the training session and also an improvement in a particular skill or area of cricket.

The Super Student of the week award will be handed out every week after Junior Training.

The children who have won the Super Student of the week award so far this season are as follows;

Emily, George, Sonny, Miles and Denni

The awards will continue to be given throughout the rest of the season so keep up the hard work and well done to all those that have won the award so far

The club are running a Fantasy League for the upcoming Cricket World Cup.

It costs £5 to enter per team

There will be a cash prize for the winner and the club will also get a cut from the total pot raised.

A reminder to all that Youth training starts this Friday.

Training starts at 6pm and will finish around 8pm (weather and light dependant)

Please try to be there from 5:30 so registration can be completed and so we can start at 6pm

Junior membership – £10

Coaching- £3 per child, £2 (after 1st child) if you have more than 1 child training

Please note that the subscriptions for the 2019 season are now due

Garboldisham Cricket Club are offering companies chance to sponsor the club for the 2019 season.

Prices for sponsorship are as follows; 1 year – £300, 2 years £450.

Companies that sponsor the club will have their board mounted on the end of the clubhouse facing the drive as this will give the most exposure for advertising. To go with the package you will also have an A4 plaque inside the clubhouse plus be listed on the club website with a link to your company website.

The annual ECB NatWest Cricket Force works party weekend will be held on 6th & 7th April, between 9am-3pm. Please come along and lend a hand – support from all club members is key to ensure that the ground, pitch and clubhouse are all  ready for the new season. The bar will be open to keep you refreshed and bacon rolls will be available for all those helping.

The Grand National will then be shown in the clubhouse for all those who have an interest in the race.

We are organising a fun fund raising Garby CC Golf day. It is at Barnham Broom Golf Club, on the Hill Course. The date is Friday 6th September 2019. The first tee time is 08:12 running through till 12.00 and there will be bacon rolls and coffee served in the Barford Suite before you hit the course. The format of the day is teams of 4, Stableford format with a twist! Please enter in teams of 4 if possible or we can sort out teams if you enter singly. There will also be a putting competition nearest the pin and longest drives.

When the last group come in, lasagne, chips and a cheesecake dessert will be served in the Colton Suite.

There will be prize giving with dinner and a raffle on the day. We’d like each team to put in a raffle prize if possible.

The day is a fund raiser for Garby CC and we’re hoping to get around 40 players.

The price for the day is £40 per person for 18 holes of golf on the lovely hill course and meals. It is of course on a first come first served basis. So, get the day off work and let me have your names/ team name and handicaps ASAP (genuine ones Pascal).

A deposit of £10 per person is required by the end of April.

All standards of golf welcome! Anyone associated with Garby CC can play, whether you are a family member, friend or colleague. The more the merrier!

Garboldisham Cricket Club are delighted to announce that Jonathan Agnew will be our guest speaker for our annual dinner at Lyng Farm Barn on Friday 29th March

Jonathan is best know for his TMS commentary but also a successful career as a bowler for Leicestershire taking over 600 First Class wickets.

There will also be a comedian performing during the evening

Tickets are available for £50 per person. Tickets include a 4 course meals plus coffee afterwards.
