We are organising a fun fund raising Garby CC Golf day. It is at Barnham Broom Golf Club, on the Hill Course. The date is Friday 6th September 2019. The first tee time is 08:12 running through till 12.00 and there will be bacon rolls and coffee served in the Barford Suite before you hit the course. The format of the day is teams of 4, Stableford format with a twist! Please enter in teams of 4 if possible or we can sort out teams if you enter singly. There will also be a putting competition nearest the pin and longest drives. When the last group come in, lasagne, chips and a cheesecake dessert will be served in the Colton Suite. There will be prize giving with dinner and a raffle on the day. We’d like each team to put in a raffle prize if possible. The day is a fund raiser for Garby CC and we’re hoping to get around 40 players. Garboldisham Cricket Club are delighted to announce that Jonathan Agnew will be our guest speaker for our annual dinner at Lyng Farm Barn on Friday 29th March Jonathan is best know for his TMS commentary but also a successful career as a bowler for Leicestershire taking over 600 First Class wickets. There will also be a comedian performing during the evening Tickets are available for £50 per person. Tickets include a 4 course meals plus coffee afterwards.   Indoor team lose as Bradenham Bears steal the show on Finals Night:   Bradenham Cricket Club proceeded to win the Breckland Indoor Cricket League for the second time after successfully beating Thetford in the semi-final and Garboldisham in the final during our 2018 Finals Evening at Thetford Leisure Centre on Sunday 16th December 2018.   Having qualified for Finals evening after finishing in 2nd place in Group A with victories against Swaffham, Rocklands and Saham Toney and only a single defeat against Hingham who won Group A.   The second semi-final saw Hingham, winners of Group A take on Garboldisham who were runner-up in group B. Garboldisham were runner-up last year so were looking to go one better this time round. Garboldisham batted first and with Allin and Tippett getting them off to a good start set a net score of 252. Slightly below par for Garboldisham having lost an unusual 7 wickets. Garboldisham started fantastically with the ball having restricted Hingham to a level 100 after taking 4 wickets in the first pair. …
