GCC awarded £5,900 grant from Council

The council has agreed two separate funding bids for the village — £5,900 will be put towards refurbishing and enhancing the cricket club’s 25-year-old shower and toilet block, and a further £4,440 to partially resurface the multi-purpose games area at the recreation ground. The games area is used by residents of all ages from the community of Garboldisham and also further afield. The village has a thriving cricket community, with four Saturday league teams, a friendlies side, an over 40s team, a ladies team, and 100-member youth section.
