Another win for 2s but rain washes out 1s and 4s
Match reports for Saturday 11 June 2016 Rain stopped play at The Langley and both the 1st XI’s match against Old Buck’ and the 4ths game against Dereham had to be abandoned. The 1sts had won the toss and had put Old Buckenham in to bat and at one stage the visitors were on just 50 or so for the loss of 5 wickets but after the first rain break J Heaney steadied the Buckenham ship and he was on 87 not out when the game was abandoned. Out the back on the new pitch, Garby 4ths had batted first and had clocked up another hefty total with Harry Youngson scoring 74(?) and Toby Culling 50(?). The 4ths got to bowl just one over before the heavens opened. Peter Barnes had organised a very successful lunch where members had enjoyed some good food and cricket.
