Garboldisham U15s faced Diss at Rectory Meadow on Monday 8 June in a Norfolk Alliance 8-a-side, 16 over match. Batting first, Garby scored 90 for 3 with Joe Baker, on a current run of good form, picking up 30 runs before having to retire as per the rules. These 16 overs per side matches can get even more fast paced than a T20, and Toby Culling pressing for every possible run, was unlucky to be run out on 20. Finlay Penrose picked up 16 runs for his highest score of the season so far. In reply, Diss were just a little too strong and they chased down Garby’s score in their 14th over finishing on 92 for 3. The U15s hope to bounce back on Wednesday when they face Cringleford Lodge at home in a SNCL game.
