Paul Feavearyear took a nasty blow to the cheek while batting in Sunday’s (June 7, 2015) friendly against Tivetshall. As Fevs said: “Enjoyable game of cricket today. I’d forgotten what winning was like! I did however learn two valuable lessons: there is a reason I don’t generally play the sweep shot and there’s a reason I normally wear a helmet!” Despite the ball in the face, Fevs went on to score 95 and together with a fistful of runs from Paul Baker, they helped set up a total of 207 for 7. Garby bowled Tivetshall out for 180 or so with youngsters Callum Olpin and Joe Baker taking a couple of wickets each. Fevs was lucky to get away with just a sore cheek and black eye…
